If you find a program through this site, or through other research that has a particular location or program of study or a more affordable program fee than those programs offered through the SUNY system, you may obtain approval through the study abroad office for one of thousands of Alternate Programs abroad. :

courses offered in a wide variety of disciplines

English-taught courses where English is not the native language

courses that may transfer in as major, minor,core curriculum, and general education credits
- prices vary (program costs may or may not include excursions, housing, board, flights, etc.)

most financial aid can be used for approved alternate programs.
